((I think I typed too much....=/))
How I found my digi-egg:
Rain poured down on the streets, covering the area in water. Rachel groaned at the prospect of walking home in this mess. Just my luck, she thought. First, Mister Smith gave me a detention for no reason, and now this. It just had to start raining right when she got out of school. Oh well, just deal with it, Rachel, she thought. The sooner you start walking, the sooner you can find some shelter
With that thought in mind, Rachel walked down the slippery street. It was hard to maneuver through, but she was desperate to get home. With each passing minute, she got wetter and wetter from the falling rain. I really should have brought an umbrella, she grumbled. But it wasn't even supposed to rain this morning, so the idea to bring one never occurred to her.
After a while, she was close to home, but the rain continued to pour. Just one more main street until my neighborhood. I can make it, she thought. As soon as the crosswalk light turned green, she ran across the street as fast as possible. However, she wasn’t paying attention when crossing, and slipped over a rain puddle in the road, as a car buzzed by, grazing her leg. She landed on the ground, face in asphalt, and moaned. I knew that was a bad idea, she thought, before closing her eyes. I will never, ever do anything that stupid again.
Rachel opened her eyes once more, only to be shocked at what she saw. This so isn’t the street by my house, she thought. Instead, she was outside, surrounded by grass. Some bushes and trees grew nearby, adding to the scene. Okay, this is weird, she thought,I didn’t think there was a place like this near my house.
Rachel got up from her position on the grass, and brushed off some stray grass pieces from her pants. Well, I might as well explore. That’s the only way I’m going to find out what’s going on here, and where I am. With that decided, she began walking in a random direction. This continued for some time, until she saw a gleam out of the corner of her eye coming from under a bush.
What is that? she thought. She contemplated investigating for a second. It was possible the thing was dangerous, after all. Dangerous or no, I really want to know what it is. It seemed reckless, even to her, but she had a feeling it wasn’t all that bad, as weird as it sounded.
Rachel crouched near the bush, and pulled away the leaves, revealing an oval-shaped thing inside. Is that...an egg? she thought, staring at it. Well, you know what they say about eggs.
How my digi-egg hatched:
Rachel was now sitting on a rock, the weird egg held in her hand. She wrapped her jacket around it earlier in an attempt to keep it warm, but she wasn’t sure how well it was working. She frowned, hoping that the egg was okay. I hope it didn’t die from all that time in the bush, she thought, which made her wonder what an egg was doing there in the first place.
Suddenly, a big crack started to appear over the egg. Is it...hatching? wondered Rachel, staring at it. She watched as more and more cracks appeared, until the egg was finally enveloped in light, and disappeared. In place of the egg stood an orange and white blob creature with a horn. Okay. Now this is really getting weird, she thought. Before she could continue that line of thought, however, the orange creature opened its mouth, and said, “I’m Tsunomon.”
